Sad Song or Funny Song?

So, I found this while I was searching sad songs to stimulate my mood to write a short story (or novel, lol) as usual. And I can't decide whether this song funny or sad. You may get what I mean when you know that this song is a soundtrack from 'Flight of The Concords'. I don't know much about this comsite, but I've seen one and it's one hell stupid series. And it's weird to see the main cast crying in this video. Check this out as you may find the lyrics is a bit hilarious than any ordinary heart-broken love songs.
